EVACUATION DIAGRAMS
We attend your school and draft a site plan and evacuation diagrams for all final exits. We all inventory all fire fighting equipment and first aid.

We then produce compliant evacuation diagrams with reference to the Queensland Building and Fire Safety Regulation 2008.

You are provided with the electronic version of each individual diagram in a PDF format which you can print, laminate and display.

HERE ARE A FEW POINTS TO CHECK FOR WHEN ASSESSING THE COMPLIANCE OF YOUR EVACUATION DIAGRAMS:

  • The diagram must be properly oriented to the location in the building it is displayed.
  • The evacuation diagram shows an arrow pointing to a red spot that corresponds to the place in the building where the diagram is displayed. The words ‘You are here’ are stated in bold text near the arrow.
  • Each exit in the building is displayed.
  • The designated assembly area for the building is displayed.
  • The route is shown from each exit to a designated assembly area.
  • The  fire alarms and firefighting equipment in the building are shown.
  • Each evacuation sign and evacuation diagram must be displayed in a conspicuous position and securely attached to a wall or the internal side of a door.
  • The diagram shows the address of the building
  • The diagram shows the telephone number
  • The method of operation of firefighting equipment (for example the PASS method) is shown.
